Great Value takes delivery of buses as part of PPP arrangement with UTC; Vehicles handed over by Ms. Anna Johansson, Swedish Infrastructure Minister

More Volvo 9400 intercity coaches for Uttarakhand

Soon, more Volvo 9400 intercity coaches will join services of the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) and help in enhancing connectivity in the region. Volvo Buses delivered five coaches to Great Value Fuels, a group company of AB Corporation, Noida. Great Value has entered into a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement with UTC and the new coaches will be operated under this scheme.

Volvo Buses has delivered a total of 10 Volvo 9400 intercity coaches to Great Value. Of these, the second batch of five buses was handed over by Ms. Anna Johansson, Minister of Infrastructure, Government of Sweden at a ceremony organised at Volvo Buses’ factory in Bengaluru. Ms. Jasdeep Kaur Chadha, Managing Director, AB Corporation accepted the key. The Ambassador of Sweden to India, H.E. Mr. Harald Sandberg flagged off the bus.

This coach has been very successful in attracting passengers to adopt bus as the ideal transport option. The Volvo 9400 intercity coach is one of the most successful products from Volvo Buses in India. This bus is in operations on several key routes including Mumbai-Pune, Mumbai-Nashik, Bengaluru-Chennai and Bengaluru-Hyderabad. It is among the preferred bus models for both private operators as well as State Transport Undertakings.
